Karen Stewart
Vice President, Co-founder
In an industry traditionally dominated by men, Karen Stewart stands out for more reasons than one.

Karen's professional life has been guided by a commitment to challenging the status quo and achieving meaningful change through innovation. At Rokk, she is passionate about bridging the gap between the energy industry of today and the transformative solutions that will ensure its sustainability well into the future.
As our CEO, Karen is responsible for developing and executing strategy, allocating capital, and building and overseeing
the executive and team. Under her leadership, Rokk is sidestepping groupthink and striving to hold the industry to a new standard – meeting the world's energy needs through high-value technology, efficiency, and imagination so we can protect and enhance our environment.

Karen serves on the Edwards School of Business Dean's Advisory Council at her alma mater, the University of Saskatchewan, where she earned a BSc and an MBA. Karen also holds ICD.D and Chartered Mediator designations.
"Beyond Brilliant" means holding ourselves to the highest standards so we can shatter Rokk's and the industry's glass ceiling
Dan Themig
Technical Specialist - President, CEO
Few leaders in the energy industry meld technical expertise and
sector-shifting vision like Dan Themig.
An oil and gas veteran with decades of engineering and technical experience, Dan has worked in advanced horizontal and multilateral projects across Canada, the U.S., and worldwide. In 2000, he founded Packers Plus Energy Services and, as CEO, created a billion-dollar company that helped revolutionize the oil and gas sector.
To assist in his continued vision for transforming the industry, he launched Orong Consulting, a start-up focusing on transforming the energy industry with purposeful, innovative tech solutions. Disappointed with the narrative of ambivalence toward environmental issues, Dan co-founded Rokk to demonstrate that the energy industry can continue meeting the world’s energy needs while significantly reducing carbon emissions. As opposed to the sector’s heavy focus on data, Dan understands that such fundamental change requires new systems and processes. An inventor named on more than 50 patents worldwide, he will lead Rokk’s technology groups of engineering, manufacturing, and marketing to develop and implement the transformative technologies the industry needs.
Dan is a PEng and has served in various leadership and committee roles with the Society of Petroleum Engineers. He holds a BSCE from the University of Illinois and an MBA from Oklahoma State University.
Jim Fehr
Director of Engineering and Manufacturing, Partner
Jim Fehr is pushing the envelope on technology design and manufacturing to leave the world a better place than he found it.
He brings thirty-plus years of energy industry experience, with an emphasis on product design and manufacture, project management, and software modeling. Much like Alberta, Jim is a forward-looking thinker who wants to ensure energy is developed in an environmentally responsible way. He began his career with Sperry-Sun Drilling Services, before going on to hold positions with Schlumberger and Packers Plus Energy Services, where, alongside Dan, he helped transform
the small Calgary-based startup to a diversified completions company
with global reach that designs, manufactures, and delivers
advanced multi-stage completion system technologies
that help operators maximize production.

Jim chose to join the team at Rokk so he could help develop the next revolution in energy technology that will empower the industry to do better. As the company’s Director of Engineering and Manufacturing,
he coordinates Rokk’s logistics and finances to ensure its
foundational well, technology remains on track for growth.

Jim holds a CAD/CAM Engineering Technology from Saskatchewan Polytechnic.
Jody McGlothen
Engineering Fellow
Jody brings decades of experience in oilfield equipment design and manufacturing, training, and leadership to the Rokk team. He holds over 30 patents and is well regarded as an industry expert in product development management – from concept to market.
Jody has developed and led multiple engineering groups, including managing a major multilateral system development group responsible for much of what is now run in the North Sea.
Over his career, Jody has applied his mechanical aptitude to optimizing oilfield technologies in completions, with a focus on downhole equipment. He is highly attuned to current field processes and
installation methods, both land and offshore. Later in his career, he applied his passion and natural people skills to develop and administer training programs to various audiences across the industry, including
as the in-house Global Director of Training for Packers Plus Energy Services.
Jody holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering.

He believes in operating with honesty, transparency, and ethical integrity at all times, prioritizing the long-term interests of his clients above all else.
Steve has a passion for new technology and believes in staying ahead of the curve, embracing new challenges, and pushing the boundaries of what is possible in a rapidly evolving industry landscape.
